About the event

*Rescheduling* This event will not be held on May 3rd and will be re-scheduled in June. Please stay tuned!

Come spend the evening at South Node Farm in the farmhouse learning how to mix, shape, top and bake pizza! We'll make the pizza dough from Baking Bread with Kids ahead of time so it's all ready to shape (but we'll still teach you how). Then we'll go over how to shape a thin, round, Neapolitan-style pizza. You can choose your toppings from some farm-fresh ingredients we'll have on hand. We'll talk about how much to put on and some strategic flavor combos. We'll go over peel-loading and baking pizzas, then we'll eat! We'll bring some wine to wash it down with.

This class is hosted and taught by Charlene Reis and Jennifer Latham. Charlene and Jennifer met when Charlene hired Jennifer at her Bakeshop, Summer Kitchen, in Berkeley in 2011. Jennifer went on to become Director of Bread at Tartine Bakery in San Francisco and author of Baking Bread with Kids. Charlene (who previously worked at the storied Chez Panisse in Berkeley) has since relocated to Georgia and will soon be opening a bakery there. This workshop represents their reunion and their first collaboration in many years.
